Heads up corrupt officials, conspirators, accomplices, and the likes!
Are you getting worried over getting caught of your mischievous acts? You no longer know what to do?
Well, fear no more! Here in our country, the Philippines, there is one great alternative. You would get caught, yes, but I assure you that you would not be punished a single instance, you will not even spend a single second in behind bars! But wait! There's more! If you spill the beans right now, you even get to be hailed a hero!
Yes! Unbelievable huh? Go to the senate or to the House of Representatives (take note: to the legislators not adjudicators or you might land in trouble). Then blow the whistle (accuse your friends and accomplices of doing the crime). Finally, reap the acclaims from the public for you were very brave at exposing these corruptions (the key here is that you admit your participation and acknowledge possible punishments).
Repeat after me. Go to the Senate. Blow the Whistle. Reap the Acclaims. Again. Go to the Senate. Blow the Whistle. Reap the Acclaims.
Chavit Singson did this. He actually was the pioneer of this method. I would even dare say Jun Lozada is a practitioner of this. Joc-joc Bolante should take a leaf out of their book. JDV jr is doing so, but he lacks the key which is to admit his participation.
Amazing, huh? Guns and Roses, WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!

yeah, it seems like its always like that in our country. the public doesn't mind that the whistle-blower is himself a crook, if it lands other 'crooks' in jail.
and the conspirators should also take note of another bonus here in the Philippines- It doesn't matter if you can prove your accusations or not, merely "blowing the whistle" is enough to get you off!
It seems that people think you would no longer be crook just because you betrayed a fellow crook.
That is a good point. You just say your part and let others worry about proving it. Actually, no one has to prove it. We are so eager to condemn anyone we do not like that we use whatever reason we could have to chuck him out of office, proven or not.
Would you say the media has a critical role in hyping this things up?
yes, i do. unfortunately the media in our country are mercenaries, no matter how they hype that they provide "fair and balanced news", the fact remains that media outfits serve only themselves, they do not really exist to inform the public, but to sell themselves.
it is naive to think that the media (especially tabloid tv news) actually exists for public service, when commercial breaks punctuate every sensational news story they air.
Yeap. That is the inevitable truth. They need to sell themselves. Manila Bulletin is a laughing stock to some journalists for its very neutral stance on political issues, unlike PDI for example. But so far I can say you can expect the fairest news reports from MB.
It is no wonder many suggest the allowing of foreign media to circulate in our country just to create competition.
The thing is that these media are sort of unaccountable branches of government.
